The Government is still not
listening to stroke survivors and we need your support.
The Government has
responded to our petition and restated that it does not intend to renew the
National Stroke Strategy for England once it expires next year. This is despite over 50,000 members of the public adding their name to the petition. This is
unacceptable - read our response.
A new national stroke strategy is needed to:
- drive the reorganisation of acute stroke care to
- improve post-acute care as over 45% of stroke
survivors feel abandoned when they leave hospital
- oversee the roll-out of new lifesaving treatments.
This strategy is
vital in ensuring that everyone has access to the care and support they need
regardless of where they live.
